ICED 2021 Art Competition
The ICED 2021 Power of Connection Art Competition for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students
Deaf and hard of hearing students throughout the world are invited to share images of original artwork portraying the theme of ‘Connection’ for display at the International Congress on the Education of the Deaf being held virtually in July 2021 and on the Congress website.
Artwork is to be submitted through the ICED 2021 website of the student’s original piece. Suitable media include but are not limited to: painting, drawing, photography, charcoal art, computer designed imagery, a comic strip, collage, calligraphy, sculpture or mosaic.
ICED 2021 Competition:
Five artworks from each of 4 age categories will be selected by a panel of Deaf and Hard of Hearing artists to be included in exclusive ICED merchandise. These will be available for purchase by Congress delegates. Delegates will be given the option to order the the items prior to the Congress.
Age categories are:
- 7 years and under
- 8 to 11 years
- 12 to 15 years
- 16 to 20 years
Artists for the selected merchandise will receive acknowledgement on the ICED website, 1 free copy of the item, a prize certificate and an Australian animal mascot toy.
To enter:
- Create an original artwork portraying what ‘connection’ means to you
- Photograph your artwork
- Upload the image in PDF format with your details to the ICED 2021 Submission Portal from until Friday 16 May 2021 to https://iced2020-c10000.eorganiser.com.au/index.php?r=site/login
Artwork will be displayed at ICED 2021 and on the website with the following identifiers:
- Child’s first name (only)
- Age
- School
- Country
- Title of Art Work
- Medium
Artworks included in the merchandise will also include the Artwork Details and winners will be contacted for permission to include their full name on the item.
